this is what i'm going to write about:

i don't feel bad for working at home non-stop and going out rarely, because i actually care about where i will be in 1 year...3 years... 10 years. going out and drinking every other night is fulfilling for a night, MAYBE, but it's not your future. or maybe it is? that would be pitiful, right? but, i'm sure there is someone who is exactly like that of the opposite sex waiting at the bar for you, i think they like something cheap, because an expensive drink means they're high maintenance, and you can't afford that.

but, hey, if working on weeknights and most likely weekends is lame to you, consider this: i have done more in the past 5 months of my life, than you have done in your whole existence TRYING to accomplish something.

and to me, going out once a month is extremely fun! rather than going out every other night, wasting money, making it a habit and most likely talking about bullshit until closing time.

this was not geared towards anyone in particular, but if it bothers you, think about what i said, seriously....

on asked what school i went to for design:

I taught myself everything. I was a lot younger when I got started - which was around 14 (11 years ago!!!), but I was always drawing, or painting until my dad brought home a COMPUTER. I sat there all night and created things, without sleep. And that passion continued! I was in a band at the time, and started asking friends, band mates etc if they needed any help with design for their merch and also did my own band's design. It just flew on from there. Before I knew it, I was doing work all the time, and with more and more work, I got more practice and knowledge. I learned a lot about the industry, clients, time lines, design principles, print info, PATIENCE, from just doing it on my own, and that's something that you could never learn from any school. This all revolves around passion! If you have the drive for something you love, you will build on it and continue, and become a better designer overall.

It wasn't until I was 19 that I decided I should go to school - mainly just to have it on paper, because agencies are PICKY! I attended North Harris College, in Spring - my degree is in Interactive Media with a specialty in E-Business Web design. It was a REALLY GOOD school. I loved the teachers the most. They are very knowledgeable and respect all aspects of styles. Most schools have restrictions and guidelines. I've heard terrible things about UofH and Art Institute. North Harris is cost-friendly, the teachers are awesome, and the classes are fun! I loved it there! I wish I could go back

Got an email on Friday...

"The Getty Images team has noticed your work on Flickr, and is pleased to offer you an invitation to enroll with them."

I have to get some releases signed by the [real] people in the photos they selected, but all the legal stuff has been taken care of.

Next step, get out of TX. :P
